You can't do any better than 10 out of 10. Full marks to Chef Thomas Jakobi and his team for achieving this rating from one of Thailand's most prestigious publications, Thailand Tatler.
In a recent review the magazine gave our Into The Sea restaurant a perfect 10 for food, making it only one of eight restaurants in Thailand to have received such an accolade and the only one in Phuket. Overall, Into The Sea was awarded 37 out of 40, a remarkable seal of approval.
The magazine praised the "incomparable cuisine", described the setting as "fantastic" and the wine list as "professional and extensive". The review highlighted Chef Jakobi's "innovative, shockingly tasty" food, and picked out Tuna Carpaccio in Roasted Pepper Sauce, Vacuum-Packed Cod with Carrot-Saffron Cappuccino and Aurora Lamb as some of the most impressive dishes.
Chef Jakobi’s imaginative ‘new Asian’ food is based on dynamic textures, aromas, spices and temperatures – souvede cooking being one of his signature techniques – with a strong emphasis on fresh, wholesome, local ingredients. At Into The Sea beautifully presented dishes are served in small portions of three or four mouthfuls so you can savour each flavour before moving on to the next. It makes for an intimate, engaging dining experience in one of the most beautiful settings in Asia with panoramic views across theAndamanSea.
